  1. 7th Grade Reflection

    May 5, 2014 by aneesht202

When I first arrived in August, I expected 7th grade to be a walk in the park. But I soon realized I was wrong. By October my life was super stressful. Eventually I figured out that you should use your time very wisely. In 7th grade I learned you should stay on task, take good notes, and DO YOUR WORK! As the year comes to a close stress takes over again with many end of the year exams. If I has a choice I would never do 7th grade again. However, 7th grade isn’t as bad as it sounds. There is also many fun new things to learn like, you can play sports for the school and learn a new language. The teachers are great. Especially Mrs. Schoch!!! Even though 7th grade was a little bit of a challenge for me you upcoming 6th graders will probably do great. My advice is do your work and you’ll be fine.
If you are a trouble maker, teachers give less warnings and you will get referrals quicker. So stay out of trouble and your teachers will like you much more. So I hope that your life will be easy in 7th grade. Don’t stress out about it. It’s no big deal.

  2. Why Lacrosse Is Awesome

    April 30, 2014 by aneesht202

Running down the field with the ball, as scary opponents chase you down whacking you with metal sticks. Your heart races. Lacrosse is awesome.
First of all, lacrosse is for people of all sizes. Even if your the smallest kid on the team like me you can still make a difference. The big people are good for defense where you get to check people with your special long pole. Also, midfield and attack is a position people of all sizes can play. Even though being big has its advantages, being small has its advantages too.

Another reason lacrosse is awesome, is because it’s loads of fun. This is one sport where you can whack people with metal sticks and not get in trouble. Also, you can bond with your teammates and make new friends. At practice twice a week you play fun lacrosse games and do awesome lacrosse drills. This is another reason lacrosse is awesome.

Some people think lacrosse is stupid but, it is the fastest growing sport in America. If you ever want to try a new sport I would highly recommend playing lacrosse because IT IS AWESOME!

  3. By Shel Silverstein

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me Too
from the book “Where the Sidewalk Ends” (1974)

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too
Went for a ride in a flying shoe.
    “Hooray!”
    “What fun!”
    “It’s time we flew!”
Said Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle was captain, and Pickle was crew
And Tickle served coffee and mulligan stew
    As higher
    And higher
    And higher they flew,
Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too,
Over the sun and beyond the blue.
    “Hold on!”
    “Stay in!”
    “I hope we do!”
Cried Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle too
Never returned to the world they knew,
    And nobody
    Knows what’s
    Happened to
Dear Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

  4. My Special Blanket

    April 9, 2014 by aneesht202

My white blanket is very special to me. When I was little I couldn’t sleep without my white blanket. It was the most important thing I owned. Over the years it began to have holes in it. My grandma sewed the holes with colorful thread. Since I have owned the blanket it is on my bed every night. That is why the blanket is very important. Without it my bed would not be as soft.

  5. Where I’m From (Georgia)

    April 4, 2014 by aneesht202

The flowers bloom and the sun shines. Georgia is one of the coolest places to live.

One reason Georgia is cool is because of all the popular events that are their. Some of these events are the Masters, many concerts, and sports events. Many famous rappers such has 50 cent and usher live in Georgia. When I lived in Georgia it was awesome when we drove past 50 cent’s wealthy neighborhood. This is one reason Georgia is a cool place to live.
In addition to all the events, another cool thing about Georgia is all the amusement parks and stadiums. The Georgia dome is a very popular place for many things. There are several six flags in the state and the drive to Disney world is only 6 hours. My family used to go to Disney world a lot since it was so close. This is another reason Georgia was a cool place to live.
In conclusion, Georgia is one of the best places to live.
If you are ever looking for a place to visit Georgia is the answer

  6. Why Swimming is Hard

    February 20, 2014 by aneesht202

“I’m too tired, I can’t go anymore!” Swimming has lots of advantages, but it sure can be hard.

For starters, some people are afraid of the water and you can’t blame them. The first time I saw a pool, I was pretty scared myself because I thought I would drown. “Don’t push me!” I shrieked with terror. All in all, swimming is just plain hard.

Second of all, swimming requires lots of endurance because your body gets tired very quickly. For example, Olympic swimmers have to train very-very-very-hard to improve their endurance. I don’t think I can even do half of what they do! Whether it’s fear or endurance, swimming is a very hard sport!

Swimming is hard in many ways like fear of water or not having enough endurance. As long as you keep trying, hard things can be accomplished. Maybe I should start swimming with a buoy…

  10. Matt Stonie

    January 22, 2014 by aneesht202

Matt Stonie is a world champion competitive eater. He eats everything from donuts to asparagus to chicken wings. As a competitive eater you would think he is fat, but Matt is very skinny. He expands his stomach by nearly 400% when he eats sometimes. A whole turkey, a big jar of mayonnaise, and 4 gallons of Gatorade have all been consumed by Matt.
In food eating challenges Matt holds the world record for most pulled pork sandwiches eaten, the most fried asparagus eaten and many more records.
In the famous Nathan’s Hot Dog contest Matt had gotten 2nd place behind world champ Joey Chestnut. He has over 100,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
In one of his YouTube videos Matt ate 2 pounds of pasta, a 5 egg omelet, 6 cans of red bull and a large 16 inch pepperoni pizza. He inspires me while I can barley finish a foot long at Subway.
